ABOUT APAEC at UNT:


Each year,the Asian Pacific American Empowerment Conference consistently bring in ~200 student leaders from across the Southwest region to foster the spirit of student activism and leadership toward the Asian American community. Attendees participate in discussions, meet with community leaders and activists, and strengthen their professional skills for the future. Attendees will participate in group activities, discussion with workshop leaders and keynote speakers, as well as meet and network with student leaders from the Southern region! Past keynote speakers include Wong Fu Productions from LA, Dr. Oliver Wang of UC-Irvine who discussed Asian American influence in hip-hop culture, and Duy Loan Le, first female and Asian American engineer to be elected the rank of Texas Instruments Senior Fellow.
